Falling Into Fashion
Fly By Fashion hosted a fashion show in mid-November with a motive to highlight the styles prominent in the transitional period of the changing seasons. As the weather gets cooler, fashion trends shift to warmer and cooler tones. Fly By Fashion created this show to augment the beauty in the fall styles. Our team reached out to various local boutiques in hopes of forming a collaboration with their clothing to be worn by our models. Many weeks leading up to this show were spent organizing, promoting, and networking. Fly By Fashion is very proud of our turnout.
Fly By Fashion partnered with a fellow business working out Mount St. Mary Academy, Rumbler Records. Rumbler Records worked alongside our team to provide the opportunity for a local upcoming band to perform segments throughout the show at the end of each boutique time slot. Rumbler Records hosted the local band, Heart for Sale, as the performer. The fashion show consisted of six runway segments of models showing off each of the boutiques. In between the showing of each boutique, the band would perform a couple of their songs and covers. Throughout the event, vital members of Fly By Fashion and Rumbler Records who played a big role in the creation of the fashion show would speak about their impact and how effortlessly they worked. This displayed recognition for their hard work and the ability for them to be applauded for their efforts.
Along with Fly By Fashion and Rumbler Records, Falling Into Fashion hosted a small apparel and design business started up by Fly By Fashion team member, Isabelle Haney, called designs_byizzy. Izzy set up a table that hosted shirts she had designed for Rumbler Records, Fly By Fashion, and Heart for Sale available for purchase. Fly By Fashion was super excited to provide this opportunity to our fellow team member to help promote her business!

Fly By Fashions loves to create opportunities for small local boutiques to promote their brand and gain more customers! Our team upholds the goal of providing areas for smaller, local businesses to grow while also growing Fly By Fashion’s brand. A big thank you to these boutiques for supporting our show and providing the clothing for our models to wear! Along with this, thank you to Trinity Salon for doing the hair of our models!

After the fashion show closed, Fly By Fashion hosted a catered after-party for the boutique owners, sponsor representatives, Fly By Fashion and Rumbler Records team members, and all of the models. The party was such a wonderful way to wrap up the successful fashion show and relax with everyone who worked so hard to make the show happen.
Fly By Fashion loves to create events like these that showcase so many different local businesses in Buffalo and uplift so many people’s brands while providing an educational experience to the FBF team. The support from all those who donated money to this event, to our team, and to every fashion show attendee who purchased tickets, shows like this wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you!
